How do tilt-and-turn windows operate?

Tilt-and-turn windows operate on a unique hinge system that allows them to open in two ways: tilting inwards from the top or turning inwards from the side.

To tilt a tilt-and-turn window, simply rotate the handle to a 90-degree angle. This will cause the top of the window to tilt inwards, creating a small gap at the top of the window for ventilation.

Benefits of tilt-and-turn windows

Turn function

Easy Cleaning: The turn function allows the window to swing inward, granting you easy access to both sides of the glass. This means you can clean the exterior of your windows from the comfort of inside your home, making sure you can enjoy the view unobstructed by dirt or smudges.

Emergency Exit: The wide opening provided by the turn function can serve as a potential emergency exit, offering a quick and safe way out.

Enjoying the Outdoors: When fully opened, turn windows remove the boundary between your indoor space and the outdoors.

Ventilation with Peace of Mind: The tilt function allows the window to be opened slightly at the top, letting fresh air circulate while the locked position prevents potential intruders from gaining full access.

Weather-Friendly: Even during a light drizzle, the tilted opening allows air to circulate without letting the rainwater into your space, keeping your interiors dry and fresh.
