The following terms and conditions, the “Conditions”, are the terms of R&E Falkingham Joinery Manufacturer Ltd., trading as R&E Falkingham Joinery Manufacturer in the UK, referred to as “the Company”, “R&E Falkingham” or “R&E Falkingham Ltd.” throughout this document.
This document, together with the documents referred to in it, provide our Terms and Conditions on which we will supply goods, the “Goods”.
By purchasing R&E Falkingham Ltd. Goods, you, the “Purchaser” is bound by the Terms and Conditions and will enter into an agreed “Contract” with R&E Falkingham Ltd.
The Conditions were most recently updated on 9th November 2023.
If the Purchaser orders any Goods after we have published changes to the Conditions, the Purchaser will be bound by those changes.
General
R&E Falkingham Ltd.’s registered office is Village Farm, Kelfield, York, YO19 6RG and the Company can be contacted in writing via email at info@falkinghamjoinery.co.uk or by telephone on 01904 230682.
Should R&E Falkingham Ltd. need to contact the Purchaser, this may be done via telephone, in writing to the email address provided by the Purchaser or letter to the postal address provided by the Purchaser.
When communicating with R&E Falkingham via email, or by accessing our website, www.falkinghamjoinery.co.uk, this is deemed as communicating electronically, and the Purchaser is consenting to receive communication via email electronically from R&E Falkingham.
Price and Payment
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all Contracts for the supply of Goods and services by R&E Falkingham Ltd. to the customer, appertaining to one or more Quotation. The “Quote” or “Quotation” is the document that the Company provides to offer Goods at a stated price and under certain Conditions. The price payable and any other special terms agreed between the parties shall be set out in the Quotation. No changes or variations shall be made without written confirmation to any confirmed Quotation.
1.2 Any clerical errors or omission on any Quotation, estimate, invoice or other document issued by R&E Falkingham Ltd. shall be subject to correction without liability on the part of the Company.
1.3 The Quotation submitted by R&E Falkingham joinery manufacturers to the client is valid for a period of 28 days from the date of the Quotation.
1.4 The acceptance of a Quotation must be signed, dated and returned to R&E Falkingham Ltd.’s office via e-document or by post. Accounts will then raise a deposit invoice, payable within 28 days of the Quote date. This will enable the Company to proceed with the order. Should the balance remain unpaid following 30 days from the Quote date, the Company will be at liberty to amend the Quoted price to cover any increase in cost which has taken place before acceptance. Should the Purchaser wish to amend any details of the Quote following signed acceptance, an additional charge may be incurred.
1.5 The Purchaser will not be entitled to withhold payment of any invoice by reason of any right of set-off or counterclaim which the Purchaser may have, or allege it has against R&E Falkingham, or for any other reason whatsoever.
1.6 In the event that the Purchaser fails to pay the Company by the invoice due date, the Purchaser shall be charged interest at The Bank of England’s current base rate and the Company shall be entitled to cease or suspend work on any or all other contracts which it has with the Purchaser.

Ideal Sales Solutions is a credit broker and not a lender (FRN 703401). Finance available subject to status. The rate offered is always provisional and will depend upon your personal circumstances, the loan amount and term.
Order and Specification
2.1 The Company will provide a written “Confirmation of Order” or “Job Sheet”, a document containing instruction to aid in producing the Goods, following the “Final Measure”, a visit to site by a member of the Company’s team to document accurate sizing, dimensions and plans. Once approved by the Purchaser, the Confirmation of Order allows commencement of manufacture.
2.2 Should any inconsistency arise between the Quotation and the Confirmation of Order; the Confirmation of Order will prevail.
2.3 If the Purchaser cancels or purports to cancel the “Order”, or any part thereof, or, fails to take delivery of any Goods at the time agreed, and should such cancellation cause disruption to the Company’s production, the Purchaser shall be liable, without prejudice, to indemnify the Company against any loss, damage or expense incurred by the company in connection with the manufacture or non-manufacture of the goods, including cost of any materials, plant, or tools used, or intended to be used, the cost of labour, and other financial costs.
2.4 It is wholly the Purchasers responsibility to seek the correct planning approval, listed building consent, or any alternative consent required for the project prior to manufacture and installation of any R&E Falkingham Ltd. product. The Company does not take any responsibility for any event post installation, should consent not have been approved by the relevant regulatory body.
2.5 Both Quotations and Confirmation of Orders are R&E Falkingham Ltd.’s best interpretation of the Purchaser’s requirements. By placing an Order, the Purchaser is confirming that all quantities, styles and finishes are correct. Should any details on either the Quotation or the Confirmation of Order be incorrect, please inform R&E Falkingham in writing, either via email or letter. Neither verbal communication nor facsimile will be accepted.
2.6 All patterns, templates, materials, drawings, specifications, designs, photography, other information, and written material provided by the Company, shall remain as technical information and the property of the Company. Patentable, copyright, design right and registered designs arising from the execution of any Orders shall become the property of the Company.
2.7 R&E Falkingham may use photography to document the manufacture and installation of Goods. Photographs shall remain the property of the Company. Photographs taken by the Company may be used promotionally on the Company’s website and/or social media sites. Should the Purchaser wish for images not to be used for promotional purposes, please inform us in writing prior to manufacture.
2.8 R&E Falkingham Ltd. provide bespoke manufactured Goods, tailored to individual requirements, therefore, any 14-day cancellation or cooling off period is not applicable.
Installation and Delivery
3.1 The Purchaser is responsible for preparing the installation site prior to the commencement of any work by the Company. This includes the removal of any furniture, ornaments, curtains, carpets etc. from the site.
3.2 Any direct or consequential damage caused by the Purchaser’s non-compliance of the above cannot be deemed to be the responsibility of the Company.
3.3 R&E Falkingham Ltd. are not responsible for any decoration, redecoration, or rendering to the area where an installation is made. Every effort will be made by the Company to ensure minimum disruption to the site.
3.4 The Company is not responsible for the reinstallation of any curtains or blinds. R&E Falkingham are also not responsible for any curtains or blinds that no longer fit due to a change in windows or doors.
3.5 For any Goods provided on a “Supply Only” basis, (the supply of Goods for collection or delivery only), the Goods shall be at the risk of the Purchaser from the date of delivery to the property or on collection from the Company.
3.6 Any dates quoted for a start, delivery, installation of goods or services, are approximate guidelines only.
3.7 Our Quotation does not include the cost of any handling or lifting equipment unless discussed with the Company at the time of Quotation. Once the Company carry out a Final Measure on site, the Company will be able to identify if such equipment is necessary. R&E Falkingham are unable to specify the cost of such equipment prior to Final Measure and should such equipment be needed for installation; the Company will discuss the cost with the Purchaser following the Final Measure prior to issuing a Confirmation of Order.
3.8 Should R&E Falkingham attend site and are unable to install products on the scheduled installation date, the Company reserve the right to charge a failed installation fee. This charge will be calculated considering any significant factors or costs that the Company may have incurred.
3.9 Should any cancellation or postponement of installation be required; the Company requires a minimum of 14 days’ notice in writing. Failure to provide 14 days’ notice in writing may be subject to a failed installation fee. This charge will be calculated considering any significant factors or costs that the Company may have incurred.
3.10 Should any failed installation occur, the installation charge and any final balance due is required to be paid in full prior to the Company’s reattendance.
3.11 Any defects to any installed or delivered Goods must be reported via email to: info@falkinghamjoinery.co.uk within 24 hours of installation or delivery. Any defects reported after this time period will be considered at the Company’s discretion.
3.12 Should the installation or delivery site have restricted parking, the Company will need to be provided with a suitable parking permit, parking space, or be provided with payment for a parking meter for the duration of the installation period.
3.13 R&E Falkingham is not liable for any delay caused to the installation or provision of Goods outside of the Company’s control. This includes, but is not limited to; adverse weather conditions, environmental factors, flooding, fire, storms, failure of energy sources, epidemics, war or terrorism.
Warrantees and Liabilities
4.1 R&E Falkingham Ltd. provide a one-year guarantee on all products supplied against defects in materials.
4.2 R&E Falkingham Ltd. provide a two-year guarantee against defective workmanship on installation.
4.3 Maintenance of timber products is required by the Purchaser. The correct treatment of all timber windows and doors is critical. Failure to carry out mandatory maintenance will lead to the paint provider’s guarantee being invalid.
4.4 Maintenance of ironmongery is required by the Purchaser. The correct treatment of all ironmongery is critical. Failure to carry out mandatory maintenance will lead to the ironmongery provider’s guarantee being invalid.
4.5 Any timber product of a primed only nature, which has been provided on a Supply Only basis, will require to be painted or stained immediately following delivery or fitting, with a suitable exterior paint or stain. Failure to properly care for primed only Goods will nullify any manufacturers or third-party supplier’s guarantee.
4.6 All factory finished items will require maintenance to any paintwork dependant on location and type of wood. Please see Anker Stuy’s Maintenance Guidelines on our website for further information.
4.7 Any breakages of glass following installation are excluded from any guarantee, unless proven to have been broken at the time of installation.
4.8 Any manufactured or installed R&E Falkingham Ltd. Goods which have been adjusted, altered, modified, repaired, or had any work carried out by a third party, are exempt from any guarantee.
4.9 R&E Falkingham cannot guarantee that wood knots will not show through any factory finished product when the timber being used is softwood.
4.10 All product guarantees lie with the Purchaser and not with the property address. Guarantees are non-transferrable to an alternative name in the event of a house sale.
4.11 R&E Falkingham Ltd. Goods are non-load bearing and any damage or breakages caused as a result of loads being placed upon them will not be covered by any guarantee.
